This summer has been really busy with canning, writing, making friends, and visiting a couple of stellar properties in the wilderness. In the meantime . . .
I have so many projects going I can’t keep up with them all. Time has really been flying by.
A real topper for the summer has been hanging out on the Continental Divide. That makes everything worthwhile.
We were invited to help host an event for bicyclers riding from Maine to Santa Barbara, California. Ben was running the program at the dinner we held. He was a delightful young man as were the others who were traveling with him. The oldest member was 26, and the youngest 21!
Misfortune found them on the way as they traveled through Oklahoma, and two of their group were hit by a woman who was texting instead of paying attention to driving. The young man was killed instantly and the last I heard, his female partner, was still in critical condition with serious leg injuries. They were both from Florida. Still, the group pulled together and traveled on. It was a delightful experience to meet them all.
With everything going on, we still have time to “smell the flowers” and there have been a lot of them, and of every size and color!
I’m working on a new website for my books so that I can separate my book notices from this Off Grid Blog. I’m going to be offering my books for sale on my new site, as well as this one. I will autograph any printed copies that you order. For e-books, you can order those from Amazon or my BOOKSTORE. I will let you know when my author website is ready to launch, so stay tuned.
I wanted to remind you that I host a link to Amazon (right top of page on computers, or bottom of tablets). If you click on the link, it will take you right to your personal Amazon site. The only difference is my site will receive credit for you order. See, AFFILIATES link for more details. You may also be interested in visiting my PREPPER-STORE on this website featuring some of my favorite products.
The sun is shining so we’re off for a hike.
In the meantime, this is Star and Tal signing off and wishing you a wonderful last fun filled few weeks of summer!
